About Radboud University and studying in Nijmegen
Radboud University is a broad university located in Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands, situated on the banks of the River Waal. Radboud University was founded in 1923 and has therefore existed for more than 100 years. Previously, it was known as the Catholic University of Nijmegen. Around 24,000 students study at the university, including approximately 15,000 bachelor’s students and nearly 9,000 master’s students. In Nijmegen, you can choose from a wide range of programmes, from Medicine and Biology to History, Law and Business Administration.
Nijmegen is a lively mid-sized student city on the River Waal. The city is known for the annual Nijmegen Four Days Marches and Four Days Festivities, singer Frank Boeijen and football club NEC. The historic city is easily accessible by public transport and is surrounded by beautiful rolling landscapes.
